All About the Community Garden
Community Garden General Guidelines
The community garden is a great place to grow flowers, herbs, and vegetables while enjoying the outdoors! Please help keep it a welcoming space for everyone by following these guidelines:
Garden Plots:
- Garden plots are assigned by the Board of Directors
- Gardening season runs May 1st through November 1st.
- Each unit has one assigned plot per season.
- Please garden only within your assigned plot. Plots cannot be shared or transferred.
- Unused plots may be reassigned to the next resident on the waiting list.
- The garden is open from dawn to dusk.
Planting and Garden Care:
- Use only permitted plants and organic gardening products. Illegal plants and non-organic chemicals are not allowed.
- Keep your plot and surrounding walkways free of weeds, debris, and personal items.
- Trees, tall plants that block neighboring plots, permanent structures, and beekeeping are not permitted.
- Harvest only from your plot.
- Store gardening tools in the designated storage area.
- Remove dead plants and clear your plot by November 1st.
Watering:
- Water is provided by the Association and may be subject to local water restrictions.
- Turn the water off completely when finished.
- Please do not leave hoses or sprinklers unattended.
