All About the Community Garden

Community Garden General Guidelines

The community garden is a great place to grow flowers, herbs, and vegetables while enjoying the outdoors! Please help keep it a welcoming space for everyone by following these guidelines:

Garden Plots:

  • Garden plots are assigned by the Board of Directors
  • Gardening season runs May 1st through November 1st.
  • Each unit has one assigned plot per season.
  • Please garden only within your assigned plot. Plots cannot be shared or transferred.
  • Unused plots may be reassigned to the next resident on the waiting list.
  • The garden is open from dawn to dusk.

Planting and Garden Care:

  • Use only permitted plants and organic gardening products. Illegal plants and non-organic chemicals are not allowed.
  • Keep your plot and surrounding walkways free of weeds, debris, and personal items.
  • Trees, tall plants that block neighboring plots, permanent structures, and beekeeping are not permitted.
  • Harvest only from your plot.
  • Store gardening tools in the designated storage area.
  • Remove dead plants and clear your plot by November 1st.

Watering:

  • Water is provided by the Association and may be subject to local water restrictions.
  • Turn the water off completely when finished.
  • Please do not leave hoses or sprinklers unattended.
