How to Change Filters in ERV Unit? 

Locate your ERV:

Your ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilator) Unit is located in your utility closet. This closet also contains your:

• Air Handler
• Main Water Shut-Off
• On-Demand Water Heater
• Water Manifold

Look for the mounted metal box mounted on the wall. This is your ERV Unit!

To keep your ERV operating efficiently:

Clean the filters every three months.

1. Unhook the two spring clips on the sides of the ERV.
2. Open the front panel to access the filters.
3. Remove the filters and rinse them thoroughly with clean water.
4. Allow the filters to air dry completely before reinstalling them.
5. Place the dry filters back into the ERV.
6. Close the front panel and secure it with the spring clips.
