I'm Andy from Lewis Builders. I'm going to talk about how to lubricate your garage doors. If you start to make a little noise, it can get kind of loud. Um, the hinges need to be lubricated. A lot of times you'll see some black marks on these metal struts. And if you start seeing those, they already should have been lubricated.

So you basically want to use a silicone based spray. Sometimes they'll say garage door lube on it, that's fine. You don't want to use like a WD 40, you want to use silicon based. Like these hinges, when they come up, they lay straight down. So anywhere where these little hinge spots are on the end, you want to do a little squirt in there. On all the hinges, even down right on the very bottom, it's not a hinge but it still holds on that.

I just keep a little paper towel so a lot of times it'll get a little grease and start to run down. And then right inside of this round part here is moving parts, moving metal. And then the other spot I like to spray is right around this radius, just like that. Because a lot of times this wheel, it doesn't roll, it just drags across.

So that gives it a little bit of lubricant. It's time to lube your garage doors!
