• Vacuum regularly. Routine vacuuming removes dirt before it settles deeper into the carpet fibers and can help prolong the life of your carpet. For best results, DreamWeaver recommends using a Carpet and Rug Institute Seal of Approval vacuum.
• Keep dirt at the door. Use clean walk-off mats at apartment entrances to catch dirt and debris before they are tracked onto the carpet.
• Clean spills right away. The sooner you address an accident, the better. Start by blotting the area with a damp, white absorbent towel rather than allowing the spill to sit.
• Use the right carpet products. When a spot cleaner is needed, use a product with the Carpet and Rug Institute Seal of Approval. Avoid experimenting with products or treatments that aren't recommended for the carpet.
• Schedule professional cleaning. DreamWeaver recommends professional hot-water extraction every 12–18 months to remove accumulated soil and residue and help prolong the carpet’s life.
